Radiology residents receive a variety of benefits with the JPS Health Network. Along with a competitive annual salary, JPS offers residents insurance, vacation, funds for books and Continuing Medical Education courses as well as covering membership and certification fees.
Resident Stipends
- PGY1 - $44,000
- PGY2 - $46,300

Malpractice Coverage

$100,000 per incident and $300,000 annual aggregate while participating in JPS-sponsored training as described in the document entitled “PHYSICIAN’S PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY BENEFITS”, which is considered part of the House Staff Program Agreement.
Vacation
(PTO includes vacation time, personal and sick days)
- PGY1: 17 days PTO*
- PGY2 - PGY5: 20 days PTO* - 5 days professional development
Paid Holidays

Maternity & Paternity Leave
- JPS grants maternity and paternity leave in accordance with the Family Medical Leave Act. Residents need to consider that leave may impact final completion date in accordance with ABFP guidelines.
Books & Professional Development Allowance
- PGY1 - $1,000
- PGY2 and above - $1,500
Relocation Allowance
- A one-time $1,500 relocation allowance is paid for all new residents. (Available after orientation with documentation of current ACLS Certification.)
